I have an entire summer on my hands to play around with, and it's been a while since I picked up a new skill. So, I'm going to teach myself to sew various things.
I'm incredibly particular when it comes to clothing, so this allows me to make the exact things that I want instead of griping about fit and details of clothing that I buy in stores or online. Also, it helps me to slowly reduce my contributions to the wasteful practices of fast fashion and instead take on a role as a producer rather than a consumer.
These are my misadventures as I use a sewing machine for the first time since that one project for Home Ec in 7th grade, which doesn't really count as far as I can tell.
